How to keep your teeth in the same position after orthodontic treatment?

When teeth are in position the fixed appliance is removed.

Teeth may move after the removal of the appliance. In order to prevent this movement a wire is bonded to the back of lower teeth.

In the upper jaw to maintain the position of the teeth is made an appliance for containment (clear acrylic) that should be used every night for several years (depending on each case).

The Hawley retainer can also be used in the containment of the upper jaw.
